Alves: Barca must show we are worthy of La Liga title

The Brazil international is determined to show what the Catalans are made of in their last game of the season against Atletico Madrid

Dani Alves has urged his Barcelona team-mates to rise to the occasion in next week's title decider against Atletico Madrid at Camp Nou and show that they deserve to win La Liga.
The Catalans were held to a scoreless draw by Elche on Sunday, but a win over Atletico will still see them crowned Spanish champions as Diego Simeone's men spilled points against Malaga, too.
"If we truly deserve the title, we have to prove it against Atletico. We have a chance to win La Liga," Alves was quoted as saying on the official Barcelona website.
"We have to give everything we have. Everything has happened to us this season, but we have another chance to win La Liga. Now we have to focus on Atletico.
"It’s very hard to achieve your goals. The fact that all three of the top teams didn’t win Sunday brings more validity to success."
Barcelona are currently trailing Atletico by three points, but a superior head-to-head record will see them win La Liga if they beat Atletico next week.
