Arsenal have reportedly made a surprise £8million bid for Hoffenheim sensation Roberto Firmino.
The Brazilian attacker, who scored 16 goals and picked up 11 assists
last season, is rated as one of the most exciting players in Europe.
Chelsea and Liverpool were linked with him in January, but now the Daily Express says Arsenal have joined the race and slapped in a £8million offer.
A No.10 who can play as a striker or on the wing, he boasts
incredible dribbling and shooting abilities, but was widely tipped to
stay at Hoffenheim for the next 12 months.
However, Arsenal have apparently been alerted to move for the
22-year-old after Inter Milan approached the Bundesliga side to discuss
his availability.
The suggestions are that Wenger would consider moulding Firmino into a
striker, if a deal could be agreed to bring him to the Emirates
Stadium.
