Arsenal and Liverpool target Karim Benzema looks set to snub the Premier League duo and sign an extended deal with Real Madrid.
The France international has been linked with a move to England, with
both the Gunners and Liverpool said to be keen on his signature.
But Madrid and Benzema are set to put the rumours to rest as he signs a new deal until 2019, according to Spanish newspaper El Confidencial.
The 26-year-old scored 22 goals for Carlo Ancelotti’s side last term
and is believed to be a firm favourite of the Italian, who pushed the
club into offering hima new contract to ward off interest from
elsewhere.
The news will lead both Arsenal and Liverpool to pursue other
options, as the Reds continue to search for a replacement for Luis
Suarez, while Arsene Wenger looks to bolster his attacking options.
